FAQs

The machine cannot be switched on
  • Check emergency stop: Both emergency stop switches (basket and ground control) must be pulled.
  • Activate KEY CARD: If only the orange LED is lit, hold your BIBERGER KEY CARD in front of the field until the green LED also lights up.
  • Check power supply: If the battery disconnect switch is active, there is no power.
The engine starts but does not start

Diesel engines often require preheating. Press the appropriate button or switch next to the start button for a few seconds.

The machine is running but cannot be moved
  • Check control unit: Either basket or floor – never both at the same time.
  • Activate the activation element: Depending on the machine, hold down the foot pedal, joystick button or key.
The machine moves slowly
  • Stage raised? Then throttled automatically.
  • Low battery? Electric and hybrid vehicles reduce speed when the charge is low. Plug in the power cable or leave the engine running.
  • Check speed setting: If necessary, set the dial or switch to maximum.
The machine stops suddenly with a warning tone
  • Overload or tilt: Basket load too high, tilt too steeply or maximum reach exceeded.
  • Safety rope triggered: On Genie devices, check the yellow magnetic rope and reinsert it.
The battery is empty in the morning – despite charging overnight
  • Has charging started? The LED on the charger should light up.
  • Was the power cut off during the night? This often happens on construction sites – the charging process is interrupted.
  • Did you use the correct socket? Some machines have separate connections for charging and basket control—always use the charging socket.
This is how the platform's emergency lowering works
  1. Maintain a safe distance – no one is allowed to stand under the stage.
  2. Position the platform as close to the ground as possible.
  3. Look for the emergency release valve according to the instructions – usually a lever or crank.
  4. Carry out the process slowly and carefully.
  5. If you are unsure, call the hotline – we will help you immediately.
